Hey folks! This is Kolten from Next Gen Remodels.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"Do I need permits for my home remodel project? - Next Gen Remodels"

Answer

So, as far as permitting goes, this is going to be different per each city. You're going to have to reach out to the city, whether it's you getting a homeowner's permit or us doing a builder's permit for different size jobs. Some require permits, some don't. Um, it varies on job per job, case per case.

Summary

Permitting requirements differ per city. You or the contractor will need to reach out to the city to determine if a homeowner's permit or a builder's permit is required, as it varies on a job-by-job basis.
