Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
Well, we like to do a minimum of four inches of thickness with schedule three rebar reinforced all the way through. And we also do a fiber that's mixed into the concrete that strengthens the concrete. This prevents any cracks, separations, or settling. Um, typically for a driveway supporting a car, we might wanna bump it up to six inches of thickness, just to be safe, but this is all based on the customer's preference because six inches of concrete is going to be more expensive than four inches of concrete due to the cost in material.
When asked about the recommended thickness for durable driveway or patio slabs. Kolten Redfield stated they use a minimum of 4 inches of thickness with schedule 3 rebar reinforcement and fiber mixed into the concrete to prevent cracks and settling. For driveways supporting cars, they might increase the thickness to 6 inches for added safety, though this affects cost based on customer preference
